In Drawing 2D we did a case study on one of four iconic houses that were built in the 20th century. I was assigned Phillip Johnson's Glass House. We first were to create a to scale floor plan, and four exterior elevations based on research alone. We were then told to hone in on one of the elements that you found most interesting - mine being the I-beam and structural connection of the glass and steel built house and demonstrate our ability to draw in AutoCAD. We then were to create programmatic diagrams of how the house functions. And lastly, create a manifesto for the house we studied over the last 6 weeks. I chose to update the house to be more of an artistic display of the new materials that have been mastered by architects and interior designs since the building of this structure.
